Thank God for makeup and sleep! I literally have red splotches on my face where I was burned from the freezing temperatures and 45 mph winds during a winch call. This week has been challenging but we are kicking butt despite the challenges 💪👊💕

Morning guys! ☀️ I finally got some sleep after working the Snowstorm the last 48 hrs. Yesterday was wild! We had 6 cars stuck along I 35 blocking the exit. We teamed up with a tow truck driver on scene. He towed 2 vehicles and we winched 2 vehicles and put down kitty litter to provide traction to motorists so traffic could flow again. I definitely slept good last night!

Yesterday / Today has been busy! Kansas declared a State of Emergency due to all the snow and we’ve been working round the clock to take care of motorists who need assistance. At the end of the day it feels so nice to shed some of those clothes and cuddle up in a soft warm bed.

Living the dream! We made great progress with the company this week. We were able to bring on 3 additional Road Techs for Kansas City area. I am amazed this year how we went from a simple 4 man crew to 11 People on payroll. Today I am learning more about team building and how essential it is to the next phase of business and our ability to continue to expand into different states. Morning! ☀️ It’s so important to stay on top of things. Yesterday I brought on a new member of our roadside team. He has 20+ years experience in roadside assistance and was great with our customers. We brought him on to get ahead of all the growth in call numbers we had and though a team of 4 people stayed busy still, it was a welcomed relief from complete call overload we had had days prior with half the staff to handle it. The future is looking bright! ☀️

What a week! Our company took in over 84 calls for service the last 5 and a half days! My days start at 4:30am and I run until 5:30 - 6:30PM each day. I think the truck driving schedule helped me to become an even harder worker as a business owner and put in more hours than our competitors do. Elon Musk once said you can achieve more in 6 months working 100 hours a week than your competitor can in over a year working a regular shift.

Today I am working on bringing on a second full time person for our Kansas Region, connecting with Motor Clubs for an update on expansion into Indiana, getting new reflective vests to the shop for logos to be put on and also dispatching for our KC Regional Office and Indiana / Kentucky Regional office. Happy New Year! 🎈 It was a very short night. We had 1 guy running overnight and he was over run with calls after Midnight. So I threw on my pants and 2 more of us came on to help. At one point we were all 3 running plus held a dispatcher over hours and still we barely kept up. It’s a good problem to have but God we need more people! I hope you guys have a happy New Year’s Day!

Nothing wrong with staying in bed and working! ;) Today I finished our financial reports for TheBreTV and Midwest Road Rescue. It’s so important to track that data so we can see where we are profitable and where we need to improve. Plus it will become vital to have as we grow! One of my aspirations for 2024 is to add a 2nd company service vehicle, in order to do so our net margins have to be healthy. We want to add a pickup truck so we can carry the heavier air tools for bigger trucks.

I am up and ready to tackle the world today! Yesterday, I made the hard choice to keep our Indiana guys updated on the office delay with some motor clubs. It was hard because I didn’t want to disappoint them. They were awesome though, they messaged me telling me what a wonderful boss I was for always being open with them and we came up with a plan to keep the launch a success while waiting for all the motor clubs to get us in the system for the new area. I had a wonderful interview with an awesome guy who will be joining our Kansas City Team. But before I could finish the hiring process I had to back the guys up with a dangerous highway call. The day prior was a 17 hour shift, yesterday was 11.5 hours. I definitely believe you have to do what it takes to get a newer company up and going.

Good morning! ☀️ We had a lot of challenges yesterday. One was with our acceptance rate with a motor club. They suspended our expansion plans because our call acceptance rate dropped when we lost our family member. I tried to explain but they didn’t want to hear excuses about family passing away, it was bs. Thankfully I’ve learned my lesson, have coverage come hell or high water dead or alive. Today I am working on a plan for better coverage and a plan b to assure call volume for our new expansion

Good morning! ☀️ Hope you guys had a great Christmas! I have a full day booked! We hired another person for our Evansville office which will open officially on January 7th. I am also processing more applications for Springfield Missouri. Today I am working on Improving our HR system. Digitalizing paperwork that can be e-signed quickly so we can streamline our onboarding process and get new drivers in the system running calls as quickly as possible. I am so eternally grateful for the support on here, each driver Costs us around $500 as a company to bring on and we may not see a return on that money for weeks. 10 applicants cost us around $5,000 so it takes a lot of money up front to invest in the growth of the business. Over time this will get easier as we have more working capital but right now you guys are keeping us going full force ahead! All while enjoying some photos 😉💕

Who’s ready for the new year!? I’m expecting 2024 to be awesome! This year I went from losing the truck to starting all over with my own business with 1 person on me team ( me ) lol to having a team of 5 people and managing a growing business. First month of 2024 we are on track to be in 4 states with a team of 9 people. After that we will work on saturating each state with coverage. I couldn’t have done it without all of you! And together I can’t wait to see where we will be at the end of 2024!

Sometimes I just like to be simple and elegant 😉😊 After a busy week I am finally getting to edit and hopefully release an update video about the semi truck and business situation. I am also ordering 6 more sets of magnetic decals (8 we will have in total) for all the new Road Techs coming onto Midwest Road Rescue. I will also be dispatching for the company this morning and interviewing another candidate at 1pm today for our Kansas City office. Next I have to create Independent Contractor agreements for the new Road Techs so they have everything in writing describing their pay. Finally I will be going through new candidates applications and then off to the store for last minute Christmas shopping!

I love my cat outfit especially when feeling feisty! 😉 Today I am taking on the many good challenges of a growing company. The importance of working capital is making itself known. I am so thankful for your support on here! Every background check costs between $50-$100, Our vests and decals cost another $50 or so in total plus company business cards for each person. We absolutely make that money back but when you are dealing with 30+ applicants and numerous people coming on at once the price adds up! It can cost upwards of $200 to bring each person which when you multiply 10, 20, 30 times you are talking up to $8,000 in extra capital that must be ready to go to sustain the growth. We may not get that investment back for 2-6 weeks because some motor clubs pay odd pay periods. OF has been an absolute life saver, empowering me to expand the company until the profits start coming in from those new people.

Exciting things are coming to the business! Thanks to your support we were able to purchase a winch and basic Tow Equipment capable of pulling people out of ditches or who are stuck in snow or mud. It wasn’t cheap but thanks to you we were able to make the purchase and we are so excited to start doing more off road recovery! 😊
